Feed zone is where athletes can drop and pickup hydration after the first lap during a race. Parent/guardians have an opportunity to watch their athlete start, head to the feed zone to help, cheer them on as they pass the feed zone. Once all our team athletes pass, you may head to the finish to watch riders cross the finish line.
The league only allows for 5 feeders to be in the feed zone at any given time. PGBV have lanyards that designate that we are allowed in. Wave sizes will determine the number of volunteers needed for each wave. We’ll teach you how to hold the type of water bottles for athletes.
Duties include:
Up to 4 feeders per wave depending on the number of athletes Approx. 30 -45 min per wave 4 waves per race: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior Varsity, and Senior
Food committee is expected to help at the race pit zone food zone for PGBV team tent.
